Public Workshop which engaged youth, design professionals, artists, and community members in creating low-cost play pieces that invite children, and young women in particular, to be physically active. This project was unique because it is near an intersection in Philadelphia that is not as popuilated by local community members. As we were designing, residents were curios and excited to learn they could help out in the design process. After the design of the play structure, the main design-build team, Public Workshop, designed an adjacent bus stop with collaberation of the residents.
